What Are Important Panch Karma Process?
          Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Nasya & Raktamokshan are the major panch karma therapies. Abhyanga, Udvartan, Baspa Sweda, Potalisweda are the some of the important panch karma process coming under the panch karma treatment.
 

Vaman Karma :
          It is a process by which Elimination of vitiated dishes ( Kapha & Pitta) from the stomach & whole body through mouth.
          The endotoxians (Vitiated Kapha & Pitta) which are in stomach, in cells and tissue of the entire body are eliminated by the Vaman therapy.

Indication :
          Vaman is indicated in all types of Kapha Predominant disease they are as under.

            (1) Kasa - (Cough) (2) Swasa - (Asthama) (3) Amplapitta  - (Hyper acidity) (4) Apasmara - (Epilepsy) (5) Putinasa - (Sinusitis) (6) Granthi - (Tumour) (7) Arbuda - (Tumor) (8) Kustha - (Skin Diseases) (9) Sleepeda - (Elephantiassis) (10) Agnimandya - (Indigetion) (11) Visha - (Poision) (12) Gravisha - (Toxicosis) (13) Stanyadosa (14) ENT (Diseases) (15) Medorog  - (Obesity).
 

Snehan : (External Oletion Or Abhyang Or External Type Of Snehan Variety)
           This is a special method of treatment which ahs comprehensive action of punchkarma snehan (oletion) Swedan (Fomentation) & (Elimination). Full benefits of panch karma treatment can be realised by a coerce in Abhyanga for about 21 days. It ramous the toxins from the body improves the circulation and activities of the vital organs. Increase the resistance immune capacity and vatality. This treatment is highly recommended for Hemiplegia, Praplegia, Spondylitis, Sciatica, Osteo arthritis, Myelitis condition and many degenerative diseases.   
 

Snehan Therapy : (Internal Oletion)
           Snehapana is process by which the patient is administrated the snehan Orally (Oilgrahita, Vasa - Majja) snehpana treatment is given basically for treatment of diseases mainly for shodhana purpose belonging to Rassa to Asthi dhatu, Srotasa and alse for Increasing the Vatality of above dhatu and srotasa. It is also performed as reparation for main Shodhana procedure as Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Nasya & Rakatmokshana or Blood letting treatment.

Virechana Karma :
           Virechana is a process by which dodhas are made to pass through adhomarg i.e. Anus. It is said to be the important therepy for evacution of pitta dosha. By virechana th pitta dosha & Malas are cleared not only from the colons and rectum but also from whole body i.e. from cellular level.

Rakta Moksjana : ( Blood Letting)
          Rakta Mokshana (Blood Letting ) is one of the best therapies mentioned in ayurvedic classics for Rakta vikaras ( Blood Disorders) and pittaja roga. Further Aecharya Surshruta stated that it is one of the important messures for treating the surgical disorders. It lets the impure blood from the body. Now a day this treatment is widely practicing through out globe. It is performed by various methods, (1) Blood letting with shatra (Instruments) (2) Blood letting without Shastra (Leech Application).

Indication :
              (1) Vicharchika (2) Wounds (3) All other skin disorders (4) Tumors.

Nasya :
             It is a process by which the medicated oil or churna (Powder) should be administrated through the Nostril is known as Nasya Karma. Nasya is said to be very useful in diseases of upper part of the neck.
            The medicine which are administrate through the nose will reach all the organs & cell and destroy the vitiated doshas from the head. It's Sphere of action is not only limited  to above the neck also whole body.
             It Stimulates whole nervous system. Cranial nervous and also maintains the function of endocrine glands. Hence this treatment can be given in almost all ENT problems and also general diseases of the body this therapy is very safe & simple and it can be performed without any medical supervision in OPD level.
 

Basti Karma :
             Basti Karma in which the medicated oil or decoction is administrated in to the Pakwashya (Rectum) or Garbhasaya (Uterus) or Mutrasaya ( Bladder ) with the help of Basti Yantra is known as Basti.
 

ShiroBasti :
            A leather cap is placed on the saved head of the patient in which luke warm medicated oil is poured keep this oil on the head for specific time a few session of this process will give almost reasult of shirodhara and more effective in diseases of Ear, nose, throat, Neuralgia, migraine, Chronic Rhinitis.
 

Shirodhara :
            Medicated cold or luke warm oil or other liquid is dropped in a fine get on the central point of the forehead of the patient. Those exercise has a dratic impact on the nervous system by claming down the mind and all sense organs. IA few session of shirodhara substantially cures the various mental disorder, it also improve the memory and the subject feels fresh. It is also highly effective in Migraine, Insomnia, High blood pressure Neuralgia etc.
 

Kati Basti :
           Almost all vatavyadhis can be well controlled by ayurvedic method of treatment. As these has no permanent remedy in modern science also, the treatment said in Ayurved such as Shnehan Swedan & Basti Plays very important role for curing the patient gradually.
           Now a days it is seen that people are using four/two wheeler widely, they are awaking late in the night, they are consuming fast food, cold drinks etc. and they are not getting the nourishment from Godugdha & Goghrita procedures such as Abhayanga etc. Hence the disease like Katishool, (Backache) Gradhrasi (Sciatica) Spondylysis PID & after that trapped of side effect of pain killers & lastly of any or orthopedic  surgeon.
           Ayurved can cure such acute conditioned patient it is a read fact & all most go through the Shnehan & Swedan & Basti : treatment shnehan therapy is of two main types such as Abhyantera & Bahya. Katibasti are monotonous & time killing job for vaidhyas & patients also routing the process katibasti nedd maspisti circle to keep the leukwarm medicated or siddha tail pacifies the vata present at the lesion, lubricates and number of days are dependent upon the chronicity & severity of the disease in the particular patient.
 

Rakta Basti : (BLOOD ENEMA)
            It is observed in daily practices that many patient suffer from low of Hbycount in blood in absence of timely treatment or blood translation may have to loose. Their lives it has been noted that many patient can not effort this treatment due to their financial condition blood translation means a need of proper blood bank which are not so common area many time they face scarcity of particular group of blood. At such condition we faces many such patient who enquire us about any possible treatment in Ayurved specially in Panch Karma ehikitsa during such a particular case. We got an idea of Rakta Basti give in our old. Samhitas implies in our practices with consultation with many vaidhyas. Reference of Rakta Basti were found in Eharak Samhita in which the blood used was of animals Goat, Rabbit, Deer, Buffalos).
 

Concept of Rakta Basti :
             It has been stated that in charak samhita that whenever a patient suffer from excessive doss of Blood. It should be treatment with such Rakta Basti by this the blood Hb% level can be increased. Whenever there is excessive loss of Blood from body. Rakta Basti should be administrated, whenever there is need of blood for body the Rakta Basti should be given mixed with Dardha (Herbal).
            Mode Of Action :
          Material introduced by enema in some instances can pass through the wall in to the illume, such incompetence may permit the enema fluid to reach the duodenum.
            According to above given references it has been clarify that the given Rakta Basti reaches up to Grhani and is absorbed further in to the body due to Agni Kriya.
